After Antonio Conte’s famous outburst against the Inter hierarchy after a disappointing 3-2 loss to Dortmund, the Italian suggested that his side were past the limit as a squad and will definitely need a few more players in the upcoming January window.

Since then, lots of players have been linked with the Nerazzurri and It’s more than likely one or two additions might be made when the transfer window is open. Despite Conte’s worries, Inter have managed to topple Juventus in the Serie A standings and It suddenly looks like all is well in the blue side of Milan.

Conte might get his wish to an extent as Inter would welcome Stefano Sensi back in action soon enough and his return would seem like a new signing for the Nerazzurri.

Sensi will not return from injury until after the Serie A winter break according to a report from renowned Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, through his website gianlucadimarzio.com.

The central midfielder has been struggling to overcome a thigh injury and as a result, Inter took the decision to send him to a specialist in Munich in a bid to try and get to the bottom of the issue.

The Italian international, who joined Inter this past Summer from fellow Serie A club Sassuolo, should be back available to manager Conte for Inter’s match against Napoli on January 5.

Sensi has been one of Inter’s standout performers since the start of the season and has been a vital part in Conte’s side. Scoring winners, man of the match performances have seen him earn raves as one of the top signings this season as well.

His influence in the Inter squad is highlighted by the fact that despite the 24-year-old missing about a month of action, his three goals and two assists mean aside the unstoppable duo of Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku, he is the next in the squad for goal contributions – tied with Marcelo Brozovic at two goals and three assists as per Whoscored.

With Inter now needing a test of character and resilience to maintain their lead at the top, all personnel would be needed as Inter proceed into the second half of the season. With uncertainty still lurking around Inter’s hopes in Europe as well, It would make sense that Sensi’s return would be very vital to the side.

If Inter fails to qualify from the Champions League and drop to the Europa League, Conte would need as many quality personnel available to maintain a charge in both competitions.

Inter have been decent in the Italian’s absence and without doubt, his absence would improve the side even better.

Always a spark, dazzling with energy and looking to make something happen on the ball, Sensi would add extra depth and goal contributions from midfield and his ability to shoot from range will always be welcome once again.

Sensi will return against Napoli and would be looking to continue his fine form for Inter so far. While Inter continue to chase more reinforcements, Sensi will surely be like a new signing for Conte and the Nerazzurri faithful soon enough.
