Switzerland took an early lead when Haris Seferovic scored a goal after 6 minutes, with an assist by Steven Zuber, making it 0-1.

The team increased their lead to 2-0, as Xherdan Shaqiri scored a goal, with an assist by Steven Zuber, in the 26th minute.

With barely 30 minutes on the clock, Turkey’s Irfan Kahveci scored a goal, from a pass from Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and plugged one back for Turkey. However, Turkey were unable to make more of an impression.

In the 68th minute, Xherdan Shaqiri scored a goal, with an assist by Steven Zuber, to increase the lead for Switzerland, what brought the final score to 3-1.

The results in the final round of the qualifiers mean Switzerland finish third and Turkey finish fourth. Switzerland secured their spot in the playoffs.
